Gift Cards Online was born out of pure frustration. While shopping for specific restaurant and clothing gift cards for Christmas and birthdays I found it to be a time consuming process. Sure, it wasn't nearly as time consuming as driving from store to store and purchasing gift cards while waiting in long lines but the process was painful and loading additional pages of bandwidth-hogging restaurant and clothing websites takes time and every click is more wasted time. I was forced to click on what seemed like an endless amount of links. Some retailers even seemed like they wanted to hide the links to purchase gift cards online. Even worse were the websites for restaurants and clothing stores who didn't have a link on the front page of their website to purchase their gift cards. Couple that frustration with poor search functionality and it's a recipe for giving up.

I understand the reasoning for restaurants and other retailers to essentially hide the ability to purchase gift cards online -- it forces people in to their stores to purchase those gift cards in person where they will be more likely to purchase additional items much like the grocery store checkout.

Gift Cards Online eliminates those additional clicks. By no means does it encompass each and every retailer but I have done my best to incorporate the most popular and recognizable restaurants and retail stores by including a synopsis about their gift card and a direct link to their website to purchase the gift cards you want.

Additionally, I am constantly adding retailers who offer gift cards for purchase online with the hope that this website will be the most effective way of giving users a one-stop shop for online gift cards and result in them having more time to do what matters instead of searching endlessly for gift cards in the vastness of the internet.
